Dido is at Thess Fringe Festival 2023!

DIDO is a solo multidisciplinary gender-fluid performance by Istanbul-based artist Korhan Basaran that reflects the myth of DIDO and Aeneas using elements of dance, theater, new music and video projection to explore themes of human desire, frustration and heartbreak.

Basaran, in collaboration with Tolga Yayalar's original composition and Ataman Girisken's projection design, takes the audience on a journey deep into DIDO's mind as she falls in love and is ultimately destroyed by her own desire.

Language is an extension of movement as Basaran's body softens, explodes, hides, accuses while DIDO's mind is blown realizing her betrayal.

Το DIDO είναι μια σόλο gender-fluid πολυσχιδής παράσταση από τον καλλιτέχνη Korhan Basaran από την Κωνσταντινούπολη, που αντανακλά τον μύθο της Διδούς και του Αινεία χρησιμοποιώντας στοιχεία χορού, θεάτρου, μουσικής και προβολής βίντεο για να εξερευνήσει θέματα της ανθρώπινης επιθυμίας, της απελπισίας και της απογοήτευσης.
