The Work

A fallen angel inside a broken world.

In Korhan Basaran's new play, Nico Dorigatti tells of the pain of a broken world as a metaphorical fallen angel. Moving, disturbing and speechless.

The work merges physical theatre, dance, music and video art into a theatrical experience that goes beyond language. A figure appears with broken wings, carrying messages born of grief, resilience and the search for meaning in broken times.

Korhan Basaran returns to the Wortwiege Festival after DIDO - Queen of Carthage with a figure he first brought to life years ago. In collaboration with Nico Dorigatti and Ataman Girisken, he reinterprets that figure against the backdrop of the contemporary world.
